In the summer of 2017, a team of 11 scientists from 9 different countries set out on a 10 day research cruise in the Dodecanese islands of the Aegean sea. Students and researchers developed and carried out projects within areas of micro-plastics, trace metals, plankton and reactive oxygen species. Today, 3 of the  students involved in this cruise are now pursuing doctoral degrees in marine research.
