Vote for World's Best Electric Sailboat 2022

Our citizen science partner project, 100% Sun Wind Water and their sailboat – a 34 feet Smaragd – has been nominated with eight other sailboats in the "The Gussies 2022 Electric Boat Awards" arranged by plugboat.com.

The Smaragd was built in 1991 and had a fossil fuel engine, but in 2018 she went through a renovation and ditched the old-school engine and installed a new Torqeedo electric pod engine and lithium batteries. Check out their website here.
